All blankets and bedspreads will be removed from the beds as they are more difficult to get cleaned quickly. Clean sheets and pillowcases will be placed on each bed, as always.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but the safety of our renters is our primary concern.
Firewood Notice: Not all wood burning fireplaces will provide firewood at the property. We can have firewood delivered to the property per request, we offer either 1/8 cord for $70, or 1/4 cord for $90.
The Smoky Mountain Retreat at Eagle’s Nest subdivision does not permit motorcycles or trailers on the mountain.

We decided on a last minute trip to the Smoky Mountains. Initially we were disappointed that the areas we were looking at had no availiability. We happened upon this rental in Maggie Valley and we could not have been happier. The location was great and the view was amazing!!! The rental was so clean, which is greatly appreciated when renting. We would definitely recommend this to family and friends!!

We go every summer to Maggie Valley for the cooler air and to get away from the beach tourists. We enjoyed the cool nights and cooler days. We hike the Blue Ridge Parkway and GSMNP. We have been going to Maggie Valley for over 30 yrs. The only negatives were that the small area rugs were dirty as well as the couch could use replacing or cleaning. I know that this was a pet friendly rental but the couch smelled badly. We do pay more for having our pets with us and that is ok.

We felt the directions to the home Amity Heights were not even close to being adequate. The writer directions gave the impression that very shortly after the wooden bridge we would make a sharp left and it took us over 1/2 an hour to get to the house. Otherwise, the house was nice, clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Very poor experience. Numerous issues which should be corrected. The main living area has a 3 piece sectional and an overstuffed chair which are in very poor condition. They are so worn that when you sit in them you feel like you are almost sitting on the floor. The driveway is gravel and steep. The lower part of the driveway is a washboard. If you try and drive up slow to get thru the washboard area you will wind up spinning your tires and stalling. You need some momentum to get up the driveway and therefore beat your car and yourself as you get thru the washboard section. 2 car garage with electric remotes and one door did not work electrically at all...just manually. When we arrived the home had a very musty odor. We questioned it and found that there had been water line breaks this past spring in the lower level. Do not know what remedial repairs were done concerning mildew or mold behind walls. We aired out the lower level and generally got rid of the odor for our ten day stay. The internet was very, very slow. The modem was replaced but no joy. Speeds ranged from .02 to 1.1 Mbps with the prevalent speed below .05. There were times when the service was so poor that a speed test timed out. Smoky Mountain rentals did a good job...these problems are not theirs. We have already made arrangements to rent thru them for next summer. Obviously it is a different home.

We have stayed in several cabins in Eagles Nest over the years. We took this opportunity to stay in yet a different cabin and enjoy the fall view from higher on the mountain. The view is gorgeous. We appreciate owners who allow us to bring our dogs. We enjoyed the cabin and its cleanliness. It is adequately furnished and appointed. We were disappointed that one garage door did not work at all and that the second one had no opener. Getting up the leaf-covered driveway in our sedan took a little practice - without a good run from the pavement, the car wanted to spin in the deep gravel. Overall, our stay was a fair value for the price. The roads in Eagles Nest are very nice for a mountain community. We enjoyed many nice walks throughout the neighborhood.
