As you enter this beautiful 1,000 acre gated community, you will be greeted by cascading streams, a picnic area and large playground, all accessible to our guests.
Enjoy overlooking the breathtaking views of Maggie Valley and Waynesville at an elevation of 4,000 feet. There is a 1,000 sq. ft. deck surrounded by nature. This fully-equipped home features three bedrooms, three and a half baths and a loft.
Sleeps six comfortably, wood burning fireplace, outdoor fire-pit central air and heat, outdoor gas grill and a two-car garage with easy access up the mountain.

Main Floor: Includes a fully equipped kitchen with dining table area and great room with plush furniture, flat screen TV and fireplace. The very large master bedroom includes a queen bed, flat screen TV, private bathroom with tub, shower and double sinks. Full-size washer and dryer on the main floor
Upper Level: Includes a very large master bedroom with king bed, flat screen TV, desk, large tub, shower and double sinks. The spectacular views from the window in this room are of Maggie Valley and Waynesville.
Loft, includes a sitting area , game area, TV and indoor shuffleboard table.
Third bedroom: Queen bed and full bathroom with shower/ tub combination.
Garage includes a ping pong table.
Wireless High Speed Internet is accessible and reliable throughout the entire cabin!
DISH TV is available at each of the four TV’s located in the cabin.
This area has a wealth of activities for adults and children alike including hiking, fishing, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, golf, skiing, tubing, antiquing and more.
There is so much to do around this cabin, all year-round. Located within 15 minutes are the historic Downtown Waynesville, scenic Blueridge Parkway, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony's Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle museum, as featured on History Channels "American Pickers") and more. Within 30 minutes are Asheville and the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several local micro breweries, Cherokee, Harrah's Casino, Smoky Mountain National Park, Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and "Polar Express" during the Christmas Holiday), Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops. Also, within 45 min from Hendersonville where you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with enormous dining Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, ziplining and much more. Just under 1 hour from Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).

Firewood Notice: Not all wood-burning fireplaces will provide firewood at the property. We can have firewood delivered to the property per request, we offer 1/4 cord for $100 or 1/2 cord for $180. Please order ahead before your arrival.

Our family had a wonderful time at the Leins Lodge.The cabin had beautiful art, mountain decor, and comfortable seating in the great room and throughout. The kitchen was perfect with all that you needed and great appliances. The bedrooms had comfortable beds (though we wished all three had been kings), and Dish TV with so many channels. The absolute best thing was the beautiful deck around the back with amazing views. We sat out there for hours. The telescope was a nice touch also. The parking area was easily maneuvered and handled two cars, and there was garage space also. In closing, we really loved that the cabin had a cozy welcoming feel. We felt like it was a refreshing getaway for our family.

We loved staying at Leins lodge. The view was amazing. The house was clean, sheets and towels soft and kitchen had all the necessary items. Other reviews commented on the steep drive and it was true. But after the first time up and down it was no problem. We had no need to contact the manager as everything worked as expected. The location was perfect. We had easy access to both Asheville and Pigeon Forge. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous log home. With that said, I also think we have found the perfect location/area in Maggie Valley to purchase our own vacation home.
This house was as clean as a whistle, had everything you could possibly need, and the view was spectacular. We absolutely loved the community that this house is in, especially the wide paved roads. We would definitely stay here again.

We had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful cabin over the New Year holiday. The cabin is very well decorated and had everything we needed during our stay. The location was central to everywhere we wanted to go and was a short 40 minute drive to Asheville. We were able to do a lot of hiking to water falls and enjoy the quaint town of Waynesville. Cherokee, Highlands and Cashiers were not a far drive either. The cabin was very large and easily fit us and 3 other couples. The deck was large and the views were fantastic. In the master bedroom upstairs we could see Waynesville out one set of windows and Maggie Valley out the other. Needless to say we would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to stay in this area. It is absolutely gorgeous and will stay there again on our next trip to the mountains.

We enjoyed our stay in this warm and spacious home. The main floor has an open layout with lots of light. The balcony was large and very pleasant for sitting out. We loved building fires in the fireplace. There were only two downsides for us: 1) You couldn't hike or walk around the vicinity of the home. I had hoped to go running while I was there, but didn't feel it would be safe on the narrow roads with no shoulder. 2) The master bedroom has lots of beautiful windows, but most of them weren't covered and there was a lot of light at night in the bedroom.

Lovely home with a stunning view. Overall enjoyed the stay. There was an ant issue in the upstairs master bath and a shortage of light bulbs otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Also I would have a few extra candles or flashlights if the power goes out.

We had an amazing stay and the management company couldn't have been more helpful. We have rented with Smoky Mountain Retreat before and will again. This particular cabin was like we were guests in someone's well loved home. We only stayed for four nights but we enjoyed the cabin so much, we were reluctant to leave it! We had requested that firewood be delivered for our use and we kept the fireplace going the entire time. We highly recommend Smoky Mountain Retreat even over the other avenues one might use to explore vacation destinations.

The house, community, and area were great. The house is beautiful with a wonderful view. The house was stocked with supplies and amenities, including ping pong, table shuffleboard, and a fire pit. It was very clean upon arrival. The management company was very helpful pre-stay with answering questions. The house had everything you need for a great time away from home. The area was great and there are some good restaurants. We loved seeing the local waterfalls and being in the mountains.
Just a few suggestions for the owners: (1) Get some window drapery for the upstairs master bedroom to keep the sun from coming in early in the morning; (2) provide more candles and/or flashlights as we had a power outage at night; and (3) raise the hot water temperature a bit.
