This is the perfect place for a large group. 7 total bedrooms with a view that is worth every penny. To top things off, the management company in this community was amazing to work with.

Beautiful setting and very nice house. Views from the upper deck were breathtaking! House was clean and the kitchen has all you need, except cast iron cookware for the gas grill.
We experienced no internet for half of our stay; however, it was resolved.

Definitely recommend and will stay there again!

What ever you think you're in 's better. The view is better than pictured. the house is better than picture. It's super easy to find. Check-in and check-out was great. Wifi was way better than expected. We've vacationed in NC almost every year and this is the first house we'll rent again. Other were very good. This one was great.

We had several family members come from all different directions to meet at this central location in beautiful home with beautiful scenery. The pictures honestly don’t even do it justice. Fun family getaway! Didn’t realize the property was up a crazy steep winding road but oh what a wonderful view we had! Property was clean and kitchen well stocked with dishes and utensils except refrigerator has no ice maker and no ice cube trays to make ice. Please also take note of the quantities of what other things they supply I.e. only one dishwasher powder when a large family staying several days will need more than one! Close to town and skiing. Enjoyed our stay!

Maple Leaf Lodge was perfect for our extended family vacation. The layout lent itself well to everyone gathering together to play games and just visit in front of the cozy fireplace. At the same time, it offered master bedrooms with baths to maintain privacy when desired. The location was ideal!

This house is perfect for multiple families to gather and still have enough personal space. We were travelling with 3 couples and essentially each had our own floor with plenty of common space to enjoy together. Close to Asheville (40 minute drive) and multiple different hiking destinations. Great getaway!

Incredible fall colors and mountain views ! Our family and friends who have been quarantining together went back for a second time to this home. Once again we were all impressed with its comfort, the well equipped kitchen and the space for spreading out. Several of us were working and doing virtual school and we had plenty of room. The only negative was that the WiFi and internet did not seem as robust as they had in August when the same crew had been doing the same. Despite this we all had fun and were able to work.

Maple Leaf Lodge was absolutely perfect for our large group of friends! Not only was it everything we needed, but it was the most beautiful property with a breathtaking view! It is definitly on our list for every year to come for our annual ski trip! The neighborhood also had a great play area for our kids and great backdrop for family pictures. Located within minutes of Cataloochee & Tube World was a huge plus! Hope we get to visit Ghost Town if it is opened up by next year! The management staff at the rental company was more than pleasant to work with and answered all of my questions promptly. Covid precautions with check in and out were amazing! Our family so enjoyed Maple Leaf Lodge! It's rare to find a rental property that can comfortably accommodate all 15 of us without breaking the bank. Our oldest grandsons enjoyed the skiing at Cataloochee while the rest of us had a blast at Tube World. Kids loved the bowling alley and kid's arcade at Harrah's (Cherokee). It was definitely worth the 30 minute drive. When we returned to MLL it started snowing and continued off and on all night! So we woke up to a winter wonderland!!! Snow ball fights and our first family "Snow Woman"! Great memories were made at Maple Leaf! Highly recommend.

My entire family and I had a wonderful experience at Maple Leaf Lodge. It was spacious enough where we did not feel like we were on top of each other. We would hang out in the main areas to eat, watch movies yet everyone had their own space/room to retire too. The views were breathtaking; you always felt like you were in the midst of clouds. I could go on and on about this place and the vacation itself. I highly recommend this house for any large families. It was definitely worth it!!

Our family of 14 spent four nights at Maple Leaf Lodge. Terrific experience! The cabin is well laid out with seven bedrooms, two of them masters with bathrooms. Plenty of space for everyone and a very nice kitchen that never felt crowded. View from back deck was amazing! We would definitely return.

The house was lovely, clean and mostly well-stocked. Lots of kitchen gadgets and pots. Feel that the rental company should supply more than a "starter size" dishwashing soap and bath soap, as well as toilet paper and paper towels. It was inconvenient to have to make a trip the day we come to buy paper products, kitchen and bath soaps, especially since it was Christmas Eve. The furniture was exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen table was a little small for such a big house. The beds were comfortable, though they could use some new pillows. The view is spectacular! The location is nice and high, though if coming in winter, better have 4 wheel drive. The decor is cozy, mountain house appropriate. I would definitely rent here again.

From reservations to checkout and everything in between it was fantastic. Loved Maple Leaf Lodge. The property description was spot on. We found a clean, well cared for house with a view to die for. We made day trips to Waynesville, Black Mountain, Asheville and Cherokee. Joey's Pancake House, Frankie's, and the Sweet Onion are our favorites. We have enjoyed them for years. Will return.

We met at this home for our annual summer camp friends reunion. We had lots of children and adults. We all fit great and the amenities were wonderful (2 washers and 2 dryers!). The views are amazing. The drive is up a very steep, but paved, road. The deck has lots of seating a a fabulous view. We did have one child that is under two and could easily slide under the rail, but i can’t imagine who would leave their kids out there unsupervised anyway. Our whole group wants to book the same house next year.

Beautiful home. Beautiful views. Drive with care up the mountain road to home. Road was in good condition but would be difficult with snow. Loved the bedrooms and amount of space in home. Eleven family members celebrating twins 25th birthday! Enjoyed Polar Express train ride, Biltmore Mansion candlelight tour, and Grove Park Inn Gingerbread house displays during our December stay. Enjoyed eating at local restaurants and shopping in Maggie Valley.

This was our seventh stay at Smoky Mountain Retreat. We stay in a different cabin/lodge each time. Every stay has been amazing. This trip with three other couples we needed more space and Maple Leaf Lidge was perfect. Three floors of living space so that all could spread out. Then gather on the main floor and the deck out back with an awesome view! All was just perfect!

Had a great family trip. The house is ideal for a large group with plenty of room to spread out. I arrived one day early to stock the house with the supplies. Found the kitchen very unorganized. I could not refrain from spending the better part of my first night there organizing the cabinets. Putting all like items together. When family arrived they were impressed with how well the cabinets were organized. They need to repair the over range microwave. The replacement microwave takes up to much counter space and is not in very good shape either. These things did not take away from the fantastic time we had in the home. Should add some chairs on the lower deck so it could be used by the guest. The only true negative with the house is that there are two bedrooms on the main floor which is great for family that can’t do stairs. The master bedroom has a huge bathroom, where is the other bedroom only has a half bath. They should have taken a little space from the master bath an added a shower to the other bath. I totally recommend this house for your next trip to the mountains. Hope to get to go back agin soon.

We stayed for a family vacation. We absolutely loved the place. The kitchen was so well stocked with everything to make cooking for 14 a breeze. The beds were comfortable. The view was spectacular! Having 2 washers and dryers were such an added bonus. The office was very quick to respond to our call regarding the BBQ grill. We all felt the pictures didn’t do justice to this beautiful vacation home.
