As you enter this 1,000 acre beautifully gated community, you will be greeted by cascading streams, a picnic area and large playground, all accessible to our guests. Enjoy a smooth approach into Sky Cabin with a beautiful stone wall along the leveled, paved driveway.
Enjoy overlooking the stunning views of the Smoky Mountain National Park from 3,800 foot elevation from any of the 3 deck levels surrounded by nature with the sound of the nearby stream. This fully-equipped home features three bedrooms, three and half baths and a loft with a sleeper sofa. The main floor includes, fully equipped kitchen with small eat-in table area, Keurig K Duo, use ground coffee or K-Cups pods, dining room and living room with plush furniture, flat screen TV and gas fireplace. The large master bedroom includes a king bed, a private bathroom with jacuzzi tub, shower and double sinks. The second floor loft includes a sitting area with pull out sofa, a full bathroom with shower tub and a second bedroom with queen bed that has its own private balcony.
A beautiful downstairs area includes a third bedroom with two twin beds, a full bath with a shower tub, and a game room that has something for every guest including a 55" Smart TV, billiard table and foosball table. Enjoy watching movies or playing board games in the sitting area or playing card games on the game table next to the fire. Wireless High Speed Internet is accessible and reliable throughout the entire cabin!
Sleeps eight comfortably, gas fireplace, full-size washer and dryer on main floor, central air and heat, outdoor gas grill and a two-car garage with easy access up the mountain.
This area has a wealth of activities for adults and children alike including hiking, fishing, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, golf, skiing, tubing, antiquing and more.
There is so much to do around this cabin, all year-round. Located within 15 minutes are the historic Downtown Waynesville, scenic Blueridge Parkway, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony's Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle museum, as featured on History Channels "American Pickers") and more. Within 30 minutes are Asheville and the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several local micro-breweries, Cherokee, Harrah's Casino, Smoky Mountain National Park, Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and "Polar Express" during the Christmas Holiday), Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops. Also, within 45 min from Hendersonville where you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with enormous dining Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, ziplining and much more. Fantastic view from the balcony. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable.The cabin was fairly clean. Better seating is needed on the main floor. Such as a couple of recliners would be nice.Amd some brighter lighting would be nice. One rug in the.dining room should be repaired or replaced. Overall a very nice cabin.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME STAYING AT THIS LOCATION.WE SAT ON THE BACK DECK EVERY EVENING AND WATCHED THE SUN GO DOWN AND THE SHADOWS WORK THEIR WAY DOWN THE MOUNTAINS UNTIL IT GOT DARK AND THEN WE WENT INSIDE AND ENJOYED THIS NICE CABIN. ANOTHER ADVANTAGE TO THIS CABIN WAS NOT HAVING TO CARRY OUR LUGGAGE UP AND DOWN STAIRS AND PARK OUR CAR VERY CLOSE TO THE FRONT DOOR AND NOT ON A STEEP DRIVEWAY.THIS IS A ADVANTAGE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS OR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sky Cabin in Smoky Mountain Retreat. The house was immaculate upon arrival and had every convenience imaginable. The views were spectacular from the deck, which led to hours of discussions. What a relaxing, pleasant experience!
We enjoyed dining at Boojum's and Beach Mountain in Waynesville. We also took a midnight hike up Black Balsam to get a 360-degree view of the stars. Unforgettable!

Charming and beautiful cabin with a spectacular view!! This cabin was equipped with everything you would need to be comfortable. Loved the free standing gas fireplace! The big wrap around deck offered beautiful views. The only challenge was navigating the TV system. We would suggest better written instructions on how to operate it. Other than the TV challenge it was a perfect time spent together. We will definitely be back! This is probably one of our favorite cabins!

Sky Cabin is absolutely wonderful! It is the perfect mountain getaway! The cabin itself is beautiful! Everything is perfectly constructed, the furnishings and decor are tasteful and comfortable, and the view seems to be among the best on the mountain. It is extremely clean and well maintained, and the kitchen is stocked with everything one needs to cook any meal. The beds are comfortable with what appear to be fresh, new linens and comforters. The bathrooms are large and spotless, and there's even a jacuzzi tub in the master! There are essentially three separate living areas on the three floors, which means there will always be plenty of space and plenty of things to do in the cabin to make everyone happy. The game room is an awesome family fun area, and the main family room is very comfortable and leads out onto the main deck with a breathtaking mountain view. The flat driveway and large garage that leads directly into the house make getting in and out very easy. This cabin is in a great location in a gated mountain community with a beautiful waterfall and park-like playground at the bottom. However, once you drive up to the cabin, it feels like you are the only ones on the mountain. The town of Waynesville is only about 10 minutes away, and there are some wonderful restaurants and cute shops in the very quaint downtown area. We also loved being within a short drive of Asheville, where there are so many things to do and some of the best food in the country! There is so much to do in the area - waterfalls, gem mines, mountain hikes, zip lines, whitewater rafting, quaint towns, great restaurants, lake activities, the picturesque Blue Ridge Parkway, caves, mountain railroads, kayaking, and much more. We really loved Sky Cabin, and we’ll be back here again and again!

We've been coming to Maggie Valley/ Waynesville area for 36 years and have had many nice places to stay but we've only had a few great places and Sky Cabin is one of them. Just loved the view and the fact that it's only minutes away from the valley and Waynesville area attractions. Homes are situated for privacy so you feel secluded but you are not. We'll be back!

This was my family's first time in the mountains in winter. My grandkids had never seen snow. We saw the photos and the promotional brochure but the cabin is even better than what you see in the brochure. From the time we stepped inside the cabin it was magical. The first word that comes to mind is cozy, we really felt like if we were at our home away from home. The second word is scenic, we spent many mornings looking at the sunrise from the back porch overlooking the mountains, truly fantastic views. The house is extremely well appointed with a lot of planning going into all the details of things you will need when you are away from home. The game room was fabulous, spent many evenings playing with the kids. We absolutely loved it and look forward to coming back.

The cabin is beautiful, had a great layout, was very clean and feels like home! Tthe view is breathtaking! We really liked that the road to access the driveway and actual driveway were pretty level and made it easy...the roads up the mountain however were pretty steep! In winter with icy conditions it's scary...that's probably the case with most mountain roads I assume and we were notified if there were unsafe conditions. (It was our first time renting a cabin in the mountains.) the main roads were 2-lane, paved, salted and well maintained, but we traveled during a deep freeze that hit the area (SO COLD!) and it made the roads inaccessible the first day...but that was nothing the rental company could control.
The cabin stayed warm to return home to after we traveled out and about...we would rent some movies and have family movie night downstairs by the fireplace (loved that they were gas so no effort was needed and since we did have a short power outage while there - the whole town did- it was nice to have the fireplace to make sure the cabin stayed warm!) The game room was a HUGE hit with our kids and offered lots of fun family time!
The rental property managers were helpful- the only thing that remained outstanding was the internet being down during our trip, but It seemed to be caused by the power outage. The owners were even accessible by phone (spoke with them about the first day inaccessibility due to weather) and they were friendly, helpful, kind and very accommodating.)
We headed down into town and over to cheerokee. The SOCO falls were beautiful! We ate dinner at Frankie's and it was yummy. The Ingles grocery store in waynesville was very nice!
Overall, we really had a great stay and would like to return in the fall next time to see the beautiful leaves!

We enjoyed the cabin during our vacation. We've been in about 5 other cabins and we have liked them all. We especially enjoyed the fact that the cabin is high enough for a good view and low noise but not high enough that it takes too long to get there from the valley. This is a plus because we are almost always on the go. Lots of space to spread out for our family and hidden away so my son could play on the driveway.

Three of us spent six nights at Sky Cabin, and we couldn't have picked a better place. The views from the decks are amazing, and the cabin is both comfortably cozy and spacious at the same time. In addition, I've got to commend the property management group. We inadvertently left some prescription meds in a bathroom drawer. The management got right on it as soon as we notified them on Sunday morning. They retrieved the meds and had them in the mail to us on Monday morning. Excellent customer service!! We'll be back! (The road up the mountain seems treacherous, but you get used to it!)
