Wings of Dawn
Sitting on top of the world--- so it seems when you are relaxing at a 4400ft elevation on the covered porch of "Wings of Dawn". You might choose to sit in the hot tub on the lower-level deck, a great place to enjoy the amazing views of the Smoky Mountain Retreat. It has a luxurious great room with a stone fireplace, easy chairs, and large screen TV, plus, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, three large bedrooms, a loft, and lower-level bonus great room to the complete the story. Accommodates up to 8 people.
3 Bedroom/ 3 ½ bath + Loft, gazebo with wood fireplace, high speed wireless internet, LED, LCD tv's with satellite, gas grill on covered porch, central heat/ air, washer/dryer, attached 2 car garage, and access to playground/picnic tables in the development.
PLEASE READ BEFORE RESERVING: NO MOTORCYCLES OR SLINGSHOTS ARE ALLOWED IN THIS COMMUNITY.
Main level: Great room with gas burning fireplace, dining room seats 8 with access to covered deck, gas grill and gazebo; fully equipped kitchen, Master bedroom with King bed, full bath w/Jacuzzi bathtub and walk-in shower.
2nd Floor: Loft with twin sleeper sofa; full bath; 2nd bedroom with Queen bed; 3rd bedroom with King bed.
Lower walk out level: Rec Room with free standing gas fireplace; King sofa sleeper with mattress; full bath; laundry room with washer and dryer; kitchenette with sink, microwave and bar seating; covered porch with swing.
3-night minimum stay
Jan- May: $250 nightly / $1,575weekly
June, July, October, & Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, & New Year's): $350 nightly / $2,200 weekly
August- September, November & December (Excluding Holidays): $295 nightly / $1,850 weekly.
11% tax will be applied to rent.
Optional 6.5% Trip Insurance will be applied to rent.
$50 Damage Protection Plan
$65 Reservation Fee (plus tax)
Cleaning Fee: $250
Hot-Tub Fee $100 **We do not provide towels for hot-tub**
Note: There is a security camera facing the driveway for security purposes only.
Firewood Notice: Not all wood-burning fireplaces will provide firewood at the property. We can have firewood delivered to the property per request, we offer 1/4 cord for $100 or 1/2 cord for $180. Please order ahead before your arrival.
The Smoky Mountain Retreat at Eagle’s Nest subdivision does not permit motorcycles or trailers on the mountain.

Fantastic home! Well-equipped, too, with stuff you wouldn't expect to find in a rental - super clean Weber grill, Boll & Branch bedding throughout, a pullout sofa that rivals many standalone mattresses, etc. Hot tub was ready to go, TVs were easy to figure out, refrigerator was super clean. The road up isn't the easiest in a minivan, but it's July. We'll be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Wings of Dawn in the Smoky Mountain Retreat Community. The home was full of accomodations, including a beautiful kitchen with updated appliances. The view was unimaginable and one of the prettiest I have seen staying in a mountain cabin. The cabin also came fully stoked not only with kitchen necessities but also with plenty of extra blankets and pillows for those cold nights, as well as puzzles and a few games for family time. We loved staying here and did not want to leave to return home!

My family and I loved our stay at Wings of Dawn. It was very clean and well kept. The place is just as it shows in the pictures. Roomy and beautiful. We loved using the outside fireplace and making smores with the kids. And the views in the morning were spectacular! Downtown Waynesville is close by and a short drive from Skiing. We can't wait to come back next year.

We had a wonderful experience and very much enjoyed staying at Wings of Dawn. The view was spectacular and the cabin was very nice and comfortable. We will definitely consider renting Wings of Dawn again. This is our third time using Smokey Mountain Retreat and each time has been a very good experience.

We had a amazing stay. The house is very clean, well decorated and has everything you need. It was cool while we were there so we enjoyed both the indoor and out door fire places. The porch's are such a nice outdoor space. The furniture is great. There are three bird feeders which were a nice treat. In the mornings we would lay in bed and watch the sunrise while watching all the birds being so active, Nice treat.
We had a couple small issues which we shared with Jessica at SMRR and she is always awesome and gets to work on them right away.

Fantastic! Second time staying at this beautiful home in the mountains. Gazebo with wood burning fireplace is a delight to sit by as you gaze at the mountains and valley. Plenty of space to enjoy both inside and out. Recommend only 2 cars for parking - small area to turn around but doable. Description of the property is definitely accurate.

Cabin was very comfortable. The deck chairs were a great place to relax. Even
though the cabin is high on the top of the mountain it was very easy to get to.

After a early disaster with a rental that we had booked through HomeAway the staff at Smoky Mountain Retreat stepped in and saved our vacation. The cabin was clean, beautifully decorated and very inviting. We loved it so much that we plan on using their services for all of our mountain vacations in the future! The only thing that we would suggest as an improvement is to have TV's in the bedrooms.

My family and I recently stayed at Wings of Dawn for 7 nights. The pics you see on the website are merely a tease of what you'll see when you rent this home, unbelievable!! The home itself is quiet and comfortable. I would recommend either a 4-wheel drive or all wheel drive to navigate the road leading to the house. At 4400 feet there is a lot of steep road and hairpin curves. Nonetheless I would not hesitate in the least to rent this home again. Enjoy!

The best thing about this rental is the view - which is fabulous! The sunrise photos that I took are very special!
However, this property has a serious moisture problem on the lower level - the dehumidifier must be kept running 24/7 to keep the dampness odors in check.

We rented Wings of Dawn to celebrate my Mom's 75th birthday and we were not disappointed. It was as beautiful as the pictures on-line and came well stocked with every thing you need for an enjoyable stay. Directions were provided for using everything from TV to fireplace to light switches etc. which took out the guess work and was very user friendly. There was a cozy atmosphere as it was decorated so thoughtfully maintaining the mountain cabin feel. We had an excellent time and there was plenty of room for all of us to have our own space. The only regret is that we could not stay longer.

Fabulous. This was the 4th year we have rented this beautiful home and we enjoyed every minute. The view of the valley is glorious- even better than the pictures on the website. We loved Wings of Dawn so much! My husband and I went for 5 nights and were so impressed with the cabin and every detail that it offered. We spend most of our time here on the deck with the most stunning views that we’ve ever experienced in that area. We had a fire in the outdoor fireplace every night. The outdoor furniture was amazing and plentiful! We only went out to dinner one night because we wanted to dine outside on the deck! We will absolutely rent here again!

Beautiful home with a 180 degree stunning view of the valley below and long range mountains. The house is located almost on top of the mountain. The paved road to the house is steep and winding but in excellent condition. Everything you need or want is already in the house except for food. Wonderful rental.
